Film Review: Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher (One Shot): Terrible Film, Terrible Review

Yeah, so as I hard as I tried, the majority of this turned into something much too specific and nit-picky with the core work. I highlighted where I stop going on about it. But if you want the short of it:

Reacher has about 5 good moments and a resoundingly average everything else, if it is between this and Gangster Squad, I recommend the latter all the way. Which is a big shame for a fan of the books.

So unlike Gangster Squad, Jack Reacher is slightly harder for me to review, this is mostly down to one thing. Jack Reacher is based on a series of what I believe to be little known books, these books have been a focal bonding point for me and my extended family for a while now, they number roughly 15 in the series so far of which I believe I have read 10-11 of them. Breath out. So yes, when it comes to this film, I'm no longer looking at it from the every man reviewer stand point, even me and this films pre-production have a history, which I will now proceed to explain, but warned, you might want to skip the preamble and go straight to the Review, which I will highlight appropriately down the page.

They got the van spot on, Tom Cruise however...Not so much.

Film Review: Gangster Squad

People have asked me before, when it comes to this website, "Don't you run out of things to write about?" to which, as I have told them, I can honestly say the answer is no, if anything, I can't write them quick enough, nor have enough time. This is especially apparent when it comes to Film Reviews like Gangster Squad here. I saw it two days ago along with Jack Reacher, and if I leave it two more days, it will be old news, and so consequentially I find my "Best Video Game of 2012" article put on hold once again so I can keep up to date, and with worryingly few days until university kicks back up again, I need to get the lead out (Wherever that came from).

September 7th was the original release date, it got held back because of the Aurora cinema shooting, but I will get to that soon enough.

David Cameron and the Glorious European Union

Once again I find myself in the position where I have a lot of topics I want to cover in the news over the past week, but not enough to make a full article on each, after all, how many times can you write the sentence "David Cameron is a prat" before it looks like you are stalling for time? (the answer is 74). There is also the matter that British Politics isn't overly popular, and consequently doesn't get too many views or clicks, so if you spice it up with world affairs, I can have my cake and eat it, defying all culinary expectations.

So yeah, turns out I did have enough to say about the Cameron Vs the European Union thing for an article...So here is that article.

I spent a while looking for an appropriately disgusting picture of David Cameron. This one suits the bill nicely, though George Osborne does make every picture 75% more awful.
