What About Cynics YouTube Update

Hello Cynics, this is just a quick one, though do not threat, I'm writing a full article as we speak as well. But I promised Simon I would do this for a while now, so here we go.

Basically, as you might know, we have a YouTube channel that does Podcasts and Let's plays, and all those other nerdy good things that we like to do. Now the YouTube channel just hit 700 views overall...Which is pretty terrible if you consider that is roughly what we get a day on the site.

If you don't like pictures of our cartoons face ad-infinitum, then I question why you come on this site
(please don't go)

Seemingly the reason for the lack of views is that when you guys watch the video on www.whataboutcynics.com our YouTube player isn't embedded (if anyone knows how to fix that, I would be eternally grateful). As such, I guess we just kindly request you go on the channel itself, click around, like and subscriber if you want. It would be nice to boost the numbers on the place where they are actually shown. Rather than all the impress charts I get to look at on the actual website, but no-one sees.

But hey, if that is our biggest problem as a website right now, then it must be going pretty well. Stay tuned for my article regarding everyone's favourite over the top Japanese/Chinese "Battlefield/Androgyny simulator" coming up next.

With men this ambiguously attractive to both genders...why even fight wars?

  1. Sorry, im confused. Are you saying the cynics website gets 700 views per DAY, as in 25 views an hour? And you feel 700 hits overall on your you tube channel is somehow bad going? Sounds good to me so what am I missing? Apologies if im just being really thick ! Oh and nice to have you back.

    1. On a good day, but I was just told to write the article. No, you have the basis of it. I think the issue was that the Article has been seen (and so the video presumably watched) more times than reflected.

But it is barely an issue, I'm happy regardless of the views we get. It was a good opportunity to raise awareness of the channel though. Also thank you, I'm working on another as I type (or soon after I finish typing).

    2. How does this blog compare with Critics of Fortune for popularity?

    3. Critics of Fortune has been inactive for a while, though I think I worked out CoF has about as many views in total as we get in a week. Just shows how Cynics is doing I suppose.

Critics isn't mine to delete however, so it shall stand on the internet for all times.

    5. You'll also notice that Simon forced Aaron to write this. Forced. It was an article regarding admin and he didn't even want to get his hands dirty.

He is our king. Help us. Someone get help

  2. F.Y.I. I clicked on the Game of Thrones podcast on Youtube and noticed the views tally stayed the same. I also clicked the thumbs up and this did not register either.

    1. Huh, that is weird, on Youtube itself? I will pass this along to our technical engineer. (I'll complain at Billy Bob for a bit).

Thank you in spirit for the like, it is a shame that even that can't be simple.
